Free from Fossil Fuel

Nepal is highly affected due to climate change. The various sectors as water, agriculture, tourism, are highly facing impact of Climate change. And the major reason is emission from burning of fossil fuel.
Why is it affecting?
Carbon dioxide level since industrial revolution has taken to highest of 404 parts per million( ppm) and it had never exceeded 300ppm in atmosphere since last 800,000 years until earlier 20th century. It was time when industrialization started flourishing. The reason behind is burning of fossil fuel. It is the largest source for emission of carbon dioxide in atmosphere which is major heat trapping gas among Green House Gases GHG’s. The safest level of carbon dioxide in atmosphere is 350 ppm.
Environmental perspective
Though, Nepal only emits 0.027 percent to GHG’s among worlds total. The necessity for country to be free from fossil fuel doesn’t become less important. Nepal is highly dependent on petroleum (fossil fuel). About 62 percent of petrol is used in transportation, some part are used for cooking purposes in households. TWO DAYS CAMPAIGN AGAINST CLIMATE CHANGE

With all excitement and motivation first day with fruitfulness began from Bhirkutimandap where bus was waiting for all 100 participants. While trying to be punctual i reached before arrival time given by GPS(Global Power Shifter)Nepal team. Shocked!! is this how Ratnapark looks ??? i never thought it would be very Peaceful, green ...wow even ponds, fountains though dirty since last 7 years- It was the first time i ever entered in the premises... and i was very lucky because the first time i entered was the first time when KMC restricted the entrance of public. Being at the place was for a purpose, I along with my friend had to take permission for 22 April "EARTH DAY".......as we explained our planned event, we were appreciated by Mr. Hari Kc for a good cause which would help them as well. The Slogan for EARTH DAY was GREEN CITIES this was the perfect place for us to create awareness being power shifters. All done with our arrangements and planned activities, we were all set to value our Ratnapark. A Visit to Bhaktapur

  Explored Bhaktapur today, was surprised to see those people who were proud of themselves constructing a way for sewage to Manohara River. People constructing a canal kept my eye on, i was curious so i asked them " Is this canal for the irrigation purpose?" and what i heard made me comment bitterly "stone the crows", it was actually sewarage for sewage   way out to  Manohara   river.   I couldn't walk away so i asked them who is actually responsible for making this swerage?,,,,was surprised more with the answer... the reply was "Bhaktapur munipality". While We are trying to change the scenario of Bagmati at the one hand,  Manohara   is being polluted more at the other hand. Municipality itself is deteriorating the environment, instead of finding some solution for the problem they are making a solution of  Manohara  and sewages .Bhaktapur is one of the few municipalities in Nepal where LDF do not contribute the biggest part of total revenue (approx
